It's more like game developers:
1) Are slow or simply can't keep up with the benchmark.
2) Can't seem to find the right material and good writers to put story into fruition.
3) Not enough budget and imagination/challenge plus are stuck in the past.
Or all of these.
And it's just normal nowadays to make endings that are open for a sequel unless it's specifically written for a trilogy/quadri...
Therein lies a big problem -- what about most emerging countries whose internet connection speed and services have yet to be vastly improved?
I also think Microsoft can't still get over losing HD-DVD terribly over Blu Ray.
I remember on some scenes from previous Uncharted, NaughtyDog used to surprise us in bringing/or tweaking new character moves with cinematic flair to generate more drama/excitement during game play.
Hope that doesn't stop.
More inventive and complicated puzzles would be more welcome. Maybe more extreme boss-fights?

Off topic - Bayonetta: Bloody Fate the *anime film ( 90+mins and special luxury edition including a music CD ) will be released on Blu Ray on Valentines Day ( Febuary 14, 2014 - only for Japan ).

I'd still prefer it other than white, I own an XBox360 Elite ( very first edition ) in white and don't really like especially when it gathers dust. Now the color is more off-white.
I'm telling you Nintendo needs to create a sub-brand specifically focused on mature gamers. The same gamers who have grown up and got over their Nintendo kiddy games and want to discover new stuff.
And keep Nintendo as it is for the all the kiddies and adults who still romanticizes about their gaming experience playing Mario, Luigi and other Nintendo characters.

The terrible plots and agendas on Beyond Two Souls was a disappointment.
I did adore the superlative graphics/visual, no doubt about that.
Wish I could go back and stay there much, much longer.. like forever.
The cosplays in the street are normal, the weird-in-a-fun-way bars/tv shows and other places of events.
So many hentai, toys and games we classify as underground are so mainstream over there.
First Silent Hill I thought re-created the story, atmosphere and poignant plot of a Silent Hill game perfectly.
I dearly loved that film, very underrated.
The second one though was a bit of a disaster, got it for the reason being a Silent Hill fan and it had 3D.
I got a brand new one on sale for AU$24.95 a couple of weeks ago.
Graphics I believe is simply stunning, controls aren't too bad, but the story has a lot of cracks and misses.
Some racial, political agendas gone wrong in there as well.
As for the plot I played it firstly being mostly positive, second time around I'll do it being mostly in negative mode and see if situations do change..
Just hope the second one will be as much a stand alone game as the first.
I positively think NaughtyDog will build a justifiable story that will get every fan and those new to the game fully engrossed and immersed.
That's a great plus for me especially not having owned a PS2 console.
I can now finally get hold and experience a lot of old PS2 games and a couple of my PS1 faves.

Tomb Raider although I highly rate and recommend, great everything but felt the ending was a little bit weak.

It's a make or break for Black Tusk.
If the game play on Quantum Break looks as jaw-dropping as the trailer, I think this will be the XBox ONE's most wanted.
Project Spark will be another popular title if done right.
Haven't played Halo for a very long time.. but trailer sure looks tempting and also Titanfall.
Keep the intuitive control lay-out.
And introduce a mix of old/new squad team ( but more new ) and a new emerging enemy.
Definitely work a compelling story for great game play experience.
On a side note --
( I can also worryingly foresee Microsoft milking this franchise for all it's got.. )
Could it mean Nathan as a young man "still" charting his course?
Or maybe it will be just another part or sequence in the game..
..like with Uncharted 3 when they showed Nate as a young boy meeting Sully for the first time.
For sure though I think we'll get to see or glimpse Nate's real father in the game maybe with Sully his other "father figure".
